There is an already up-patched archive available (so, no patch-001 .. 013). Added was a patch that fixes issues with the C23 standard. (e.g. https://bugs.gentoo.org/944059) As for the terminal defs, libtinfo is a bit more compact then libncursesw.
Guess having this will keep the user experience at a more constant level.
