A call like mxgrub default mariux-4.19.19-243 should set the symlink in /boot.

Hmmm. mxgrub NAME asks to select a kernel for the next boot. This is also true for mxgrub default with "default" just being as an alias to the current default kernel,

Perhaps better use an option, if a different operation is requested (like mxgrub --set-default NAME ) ?
