Feature request: "Events this week" -> "Upcoming Events"

There is a "Events this week" section on the first page. Can we filter the events which are shown there a bit differently and only show events happening today and in the next 7 days.

This way past events (of this week) wouldn't be shown anymore and on Friday I would be able to what is happening on Monday.

I think a "sliding window" approach would be a good idea. Or we just take a fixed number of upcoming events which would also make sure that the box is not changing its size all the time.

Since the start page is largely hard-coded and not configurable from the backend and I don't have access to this kind of stuff, there has to be some script in the source code that is responsible for polling the calendar and filtering the events of the "current" week. Maybe we could just adjust the parameters for time and date.
