In my cal client (apple calendar, but also others) whole day events show up as events from 1am to 2am (probably in fact from 0000Z - 0100Z).
Hint: In our CMB calendar ics whole day events appear as:

Where the end date is in fact the day following after the event. In the above example the event ended on June 8th.

In my apple Calendar app the Day of Science now appears correctly. Google Calendar also works fine now.
