The picture viewer eog (Eye of Gnome) doesn't build anymore
(error: gnome-doc-utils >= 0.3.2 not found).
Similar functionality is found in the new geeqie-viewer.
That's the one that shamelessly replaced gqview.
Yes, it's an eye for an eye ... .)

Hmmm. When doing a direct comparison, I like eog more, because it doesn't have overloaded GUI ( three list windows in Geeqie ) and functionality ("Plugins - Camera Import"). Also I can zoom with the mouse wheel. And the picture fills the window and is resized much faster...

Can this possibly be resolved by updating gnome-doc-utils?

Well, as for the missing photo stuff, geeqie moans about missing 'gphoto2'.
What about a rebuild of eog?
eog-3.24.1 builds & runs w/o hassle, the brand new 3.34 likes to have something
called 'exempi-2.0' (Adobe's Extensible Metadata ...).
What can be disabled, but then librsvg-2.0 >= 2.44.0 (ours is 2.40.13), and
it complains about libjpeg too
