I didn’t review carefully, just finding out now, that nvidia_linux-4.14.12-200-340.104-0.bee was removed, but the not the corresponding Linux kernel. See merge/pull request #600 [1].

I guess at the time of this pull request, linux-4.14.12-200 and nvidia_linux-4.14.12-200-384.111-0
was still in use (unlike nvidia_linux-4.14.12-200-340.104-0) because now the scripts confirms, that these are obsolete now.

Yes, but Linux kernel 4.14.12 on a legacy device could still have been chosen in GRUB, couldn’t it. That would cause the graphical session not to come up.

They should select the running kernel or the default kernel (which is explicitly excluded in the script). Users should not play Roulette with grub and we shouldn't keep software available to enable that.
