  • plugins notification area Sound

    • schwarzes Tonicon im Panel scheint aus gnome-control-center zukommen.
    • Solution: remove GNOME stuff from show in XFCE (/etc/xdg/autostart)

  • Problem kommt aus gtk-xfce-engine (Apprearance → Style). Dort sind einige fehlerhafte Themes
    alle ab Xfce und zusaetzlich Raleigh (/usr/share/themes)

Falsche Skalierung bei Icons in Themes:

  • Nuvola theme: System
  • Monochrome: Log Out
  • Rodent: Web Browser, Settings → Panel, Graphics → GIMP, Accessories → Archive Manager, Screenshoot, Take a Screenshot
  • bei allen: System → dconf

if you remove f.e. /usr/share/themes/Xfce-4.4/gtk-3.0/gtk.css, then it looks good

to fix xsession-errors Gtk-Critical remove XFCE in the following files:

/etc/xdg/autostart/{bluetooth-applet,gnome-sound-applet}.desktop

The panel crashes for me, which the patch in https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14144 supposedly fixes. I added a checkbox item to the description.

Maybe this best way for nuvola and mono is to remove these icon themes (kdeartwork)?

After I've run the update script, all tabs in my running firefox browser crashed. I've tried to reproduce that on another system, but this time the browser tabs survived. Possibly unrelated.

After log out and log in:

  • Icon of "Action Buttons" (Logout) is bigger then the panel (just cosmetics)
  • Icon of "Application finder" is gone (displayed with a default Icon with a question mark)
  • The color of my desktop background changed (just for the records, no problem)
  • I no longer have any volume control button.

Sven successfully tested it on lammkarree. Now, only the alluser@ message needs to be written, and then all is ready to go.

xfce4-session: Remove startxfce4_hidpi
ebbe0e4 
With GTK+ 3 and Xfce 4.13, this can be configured with Settings →
Appearance → Settings → Window Scaling. So, remove the separate session.

The only downside is, that you have to select a special window theme in
Xfwm too.
