  • hands on testing remove RM < 5
  • updatee bioconductor installation
  • generate arm image and test runs on windows (ask IT for a windows laptop of use Andreas Measaros laptop for a short test as she already has a docker image from us running in there (jupyerhub image) so, the workshop image should also work
  • reccomend this tidyverse book https://r4ds.had.co.nz/introduction.html

  • start with Syntax
    • what is a variable
    • what is a function, syntax
    • nested functions are possible
    • accessing variables

@fmetge mpgagebioinformatics/rstudio-age:4.0.4 is now amd64 and arm64 please test your workshop on this image and tell participants to use this instead.

The image works fine on my laptop. might be worth checking on one of these newer Laptops.

I also noticed that the libraries get installed into /home/rstudio/.R/3.6.3/R_LIBS_USER even though the R version is 4.0.4
