should solve the warning of unused return value.
Reduced the number of characters for representing the size of a file to 23. That number was choosen so that up to 999,999,999,999,999,999 bytes or ~999 pb can be represented including commata.

This should resolve #32 and fixes #31. But should be tested on the xubuntu system which was having the original compilation problems since the specific error was not reproducible on mariux. I also updated the revision history and in preparation for a new release.
