Hi, my name is René!

I am working as a data analyst within the Bioinframtics Core Unit(BCU) at the MPI-HLR.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in “Bioinformatics” from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. My bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of HiC and T2C data. I graduated with a Master’s degree in “Bioinformatics and Systems Biology” from the Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen in cooperation with the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. During my master thesis I was investigating genomic excision events triggered by multiplexed CRISPR-Cas gRNAs. My work as a data analyst is composed of several parts. On the one hand, I analyze single cell and bulk RNA data as a service for the research groups at MPI-HLR. On the other hand, I develop bioinformatics software, one of which currently deals with the design of gRNAs.
