Sweta Taylan

Post-Doctoral Scientist working in the bioinformatics group, with extensive knowledge in the field of computational biology.

I did my first post-doc from Heidelberg University Hospital, Heidelberg and PhD from Johannes Gutenberg Univeristy, Mainz studying the biology of lncRNAs biogenesis and expression in different tissues. My masters was in Bioinformatics from Bioinformatics Center, Pune and Bachleors in Biotechnology from Jaipur National Univeristy, Jaipur. I’m interested in designing and creating algorithms for discovery and assessment of the impacts of long non coding RNAs in different disease models. Currently I’m working in the area of computational genomics analyzing single cell and bulk -omics data. Furhter, I’m interested in algorithms to design of guide RNAs for different regions of genomes for various CRISPR modalities an the extension to our multicrispr tool.
