Using dscl to list the configured directory service nodes

dscl /Search -read / CSPSearchPath

returns a list of configured directory service in the order they are searched. Example output:

CSPSearchPath:
 /Local/Default
 /Active Directory/CPFS/All Domains
 /LDAPv3/xserve01.cpfs.mpg.de

shows that apart from the always-present /Local/Default path an Active Directory tree and an Open Directory service is configured. When a user logs in, first /Local/Default is searched for a matching username, then the AD service, then the OD service.
